Though, rage is a feeling that reacts to impulses. Rage is a excellent thing, until it becomes uncontrollable. This happens when a person feels miserable and reacts to the impulses of his or her emotions radically. Though, there are some people who get mad just because they keep putting things off.
We can see it in an example with the person that gets mad with a cable company. Say, the person has been production for more than three months with issues involving a cable company, herself and another party. This person was paying a bill which included channels prearranged by someone else but the company refused to give a selection of channels she prearranged in her own name.
She goes through a series of processes, and finally, after she had done as instructed, the company advised her that she would have to take full responsibility for what had already passed. So, she would have to pay for all the channels on the bill, only some of which she had prearranged. Now, she was in no position to do much about it since she did not live at the residence. Finally, she blew her top and told the company off, walking quickly out the front door, mumbling you obtuse idiots.
This person was hard-pressed to rage and this happens too many times in society these days, yet the world only sees the mad persons. We can look at other theories about rage and rage management skills, and see that the blanks are not filled in. When a person has an rage issue, he or she does not necessarily have that problem everyday. Rather, in most instances the person builds up to the top of exploding.
Often a person will go for a week, month, or even longer before they explode in rage. If the person has mental illness, alcohol or drug problems, this contributes to the rage issues, though in many cases the person does not get too mad every day.
So, we can see that not only do we need to gather rage management skills to contain rage; we also must teach people to approach each problem as it happens. Procrastination comes in many forms and it includes putting off emotional issues until they are too hot to handle. Many people that are violent because of uncontrolled rage often have a perilous mental illness underlying their rage. Many people that are mad because of procrastination have a degree of control, and it usually does not lead to violence.
Though if someone is hard-pressed hard sufficient this may suggest itself. Rage is caught up with the process of expressing emotions, though when a person is mad they may have difficulty relating to the underlying reason for the rage, which means that they have poor rage management skills.
